Students in kindergarten through eighth grade took part in Global Maker Day! The international project aims to build innovative problem solvers. Each grade had a specific challenges with limited materials:
Kindergarten built letters of the alphabet.
First grade created Halloween decorations.
Second grade made free standing scarecrows.
Third grade constructed parachutes.
Fourth grade built tall towers.
Fifth grade put together helicopters with spinning blades.
Sixth grade had to dream up and built creations based on specific prompts. For example, one group was challenged to make a necklace to protect its wearer from the weather (pictured) while another group had to figure out wings for a whale.
Seventh and eighth grade assembled different ramps for a ping pong ball.
