Updated: Sep 30, 2020

Students in kindergarten through eighth grade took part in Global Maker Day! The international project aims to build innovative problem solvers. Each grade had a specific challenges with limited materials:

  • Kindergarten built letters of the alphabet.

  • First grade created Halloween decorations.

  • Second grade made free standing scarecrows.

  • Third grade constructed parachutes.

  • Fourth grade built tall towers.

  • Fifth grade put together helicopters with spinning blades.

  • Sixth grade had to dream up and built creations based on specific prompts. For example, one group was challenged to make a necklace to protect its wearer from the weather (pictured) while another group had to figure out wings for a whale.
