Honoring Martin Luther King, Jr. Through Service

Our amazing Parents Association Outreach Committee came together this year to plan an alternative to our traditional in-person Martin Luther King, Jr., Day of Service.

Our families spent time together on Zoom in prayerful recognition of Martin Luther King's mission. The highlight was a recording of one of our eighth grade students singing Lift Every Voice (often referred to as “The Black National Anthem”).

Each family involved in the Day of Service then assembled a pillowcase that will be sewn by parent volunteers and donated to Case for Smiles. Students also made cards that will be distributed to sick children along with the pillowcases.
